Baby Gifts: Don’t Forget Mum and Dad!

April 4, 2011 — Category: Baby Gifts — Written by natalie

While having a new baby is, of course, one of life’s most joyful events, it can also be an exhausting and overwhelming experience.

So, when it comes to baby gifts, rather than going for a present aimed at the new arrival, such as a baby hamper, you should consider getting something wonderfully indulgent for the frazzled new parents which will let them know they have not been forgotten!

If you go online, you can shop when and where it suits you, save time and bag the best deals into the bargain. Find the sites offering fast, reliable UK-wide delivery, safe payment and also look for good customer reviews.

A baby gift which has Mum and Dad firmly in mind could include a set of pampering goodies for the bath, gorgeous treats to eat or drink,  champagne or chocolates. All of these gifts are designed to ease away the stress which can sometimes be a part of new parenthood, especially if you’ve just had your first child.

At Baby Joy Gifts, we have a fantastic selection of presents for new mums and dads. These include a lovely champagne set and a baby hamper aimed at Mum, with a delightfully soft teddy bear and a photo frame in which she can proudly display baby’s first picture.

But if you want to buy something for the baby instead, we have a great selection of these presents too, from hampers to keepsakes. Learn more online.

Every new parent needs a bit of TLC this could be a new parent gift

Like a mummy or daddy mug to have a well earned cup ot tea or coffee, or some wonderful chocolate to celebrate the new arrival in the form of it’s a girl chocolate bar or it’s a boy chocolate bar.

You can also wet the baby’s head with some champagne which I am sure would be very much appreciated by the new parents

Show them how much you care by sending a wonderful new baby gift with a new parent gift as well.

March 31, 2011 — Category: Baby Advice — Written by natalie

It’s wonderful being able to splash out on those we are closest to, and if there’s a new baby in the family or among our friends, baby gifts are the perfect opportunity to do just that.

Lack of sleep…

March 30, 2011 — Category: Baby Advice — Written by natalie

The first few months are hard I will not lie

You will be tired like you have never been before.

New mum’s are still trying to recover from the birth, hormone rush or even baby blues.

The one most important thing is the 3 R’S routine, routine and routine.

Try to gently get yourself and baby into a daily routine make night and day different it sound simple but babies do not know we have to show them follow the tips below

During night feeds keep lights low, no TV or music on, change nappy feed

If baby is bottle fed make sure that you have  the bottle made up and get your partner to warm it up while you are changing the nappy  feed baby with out rushing them then  wind you can all then happily get back to sleep

Let baby learn to settle themselves in the cot next to you from the start it will make life easier in the future.

The baby will slowly fall into this routine which means you will get your much needed sleep quicker and means you have more energy in the day so you both benefit.

The best baby gifts ever is sleep zzzzzzz.

New Big Sister or Brother

March 28, 2011 — Category: Baby Products — Written by natalie

When you have older children the arrival of a new baby turns their little world upside down.

Try to involve them however young they are in scans choosing baby clothes room colour etc.

Make them feel proud and part of this exciting time.

Becoming a new big brother or sister is the first that they will have to become responsible and share

Which even grown ups have problem with sometimes.

Let the baby buy the new big brother or sister a gift when they are born (I bought my daughter a doll so she could look after her doll at the same time as I was looking after her new brother great role play)

It may go well when they first meet but it might not.

Take time and do not worry it will work out.

My daughter was staying with my parents while I was in hospital when I was discharged they bought her over to meet her new brother she loved the present but would not look at him then promptly said to nanny can we go now!

She stopped over another night with her grandparents and then came back home and was a very loving big sister.

I think she just needed some time for all the changes to sink in and to come to terms with the new arrival.

A lot of friends and Family bought a small gift for the new big sister as well so she felt important and special too.

(I kept a few small gifts just in case someone arrived empty handed)

Becoming a new big sister or brother is great so make it a lovely experience for them that’s part of being a great parent!

Choosing New Baby Gifts

March 24, 2011 — Category: Baby Gifts — Written by natalie

When there’s a new arrival in the family, or a friend gives birth, it’s an exciting time. And of course you want to share in the joy with an appropriate present. But sometimes, choosing ideal new born baby gifts can seem slightly daunting, especially given that there’s so much choice these days.

Do you go for a wonderfully indulgent treat for the parents, who, as well as feeling overjoyed, are no doubt also overwhelmed and exhausted? Or do you go for something for the baby that is practical? Or something permanent that will be a keepsake for the years ahead?

You may be limited by how much you can afford to spend, and you may be able to get the parents to hint at what they need most.

One idea is personalised baby gifts - the perfect way to welcome a baby into the world and a great way to show how delighted you are at the new arrival.

Remember, if you go online, you can generally save money as well as time, while having the added convenience of being able to shop for new born baby gifts at a time and in a place to suit you.

At Baby Joy Gifts, we have a fantastic range of the most delightful new baby gifts, both for the new arrival and to congratulate the parents. Our gift baskets, for example, incorporate several gorgeous goodies in a single message. Don’t forget to add a personal message!

Shortly afterwards Kelly updated her Twitter page to spread the happy news.
