Why do some babies cry so much? It could be a whole host of things: the baby could be hungry, tired or need company, just to name a few. We understand that it can be upsetting and frustrating when your baby cries, especially for a new parent.
The good news is there are several things you can check to help ease the situation. Try checking the baby’s nappy for example, true, you’ve only just changed the last one but babies have a habit of going when it suits them and this can mean as soon as you’ve changed the nappy.
You could check to see if your baby is hungry or that they are not too hot or cold. Babies cry for a reason and it is not always obvious as to why they are doing it so it’s worth checking they need an extra blanket or need one removed. Are they in direct sunlight or in a draft?
Calming your baby with kisses and pats will help you bond with them and soothe them. Rocking them can be an excellent way of calming the baby as it simulates the motion felt when the baby was in her mother’s womb. If you have had new baby gifts such as a pram or rocker then use this to help soothe your loved one.
